Full Moon in Scorpio Musings

Taurus-Scorpio axis activation

I like to call this full moon the spring cleaning of the soul.

A container for releasing what you've accumulated these past six months (or more), freeing yourself of emotional burdens and expired bonds, so that you may make space inside and around you, and head into summer as lightweight as possible.

The Taurus-Scorpio axis is activated. Taurus holds on and clings, Scorpio surrenders and releases. So the real question is, are you still holding onto things/people you KNOW don't serve you anymore and must go?

I know it's not easy. Perhaps it's gotten too comfortable. But this comfort zone is what's holding you back from accessing your full potential and move on to the next level.

At this time of the year, so much is happening in the external world, our focus is mostly turned outwards. The bright light of the Sun blinds the darkness. As you tend to your external garden this time of the year, don't forget to also tend to your inner garden and check in with your shadow once in a while.

This full moon is a reminder that just because the shadows are not visible, it doesn't mean they're not there. If anything, Scorpio is the master of disguise and the Moon is a mirror. You can't hide from yourself this time. What's ripe to come to light shall be revealed to be integrated.

This full moon brings the darkness and suppressed emotions to light. We are in the Year of Snake after all – a year of shedding, releasing, healing, alchemy, little deaths, rebirths and transformation. The Snake is one of the animals associated with Scorpio. Now is a perfect time for some shadow work.

This full moon is an invitation to enter the depths of our Underworld to uncover the fragmented pieces of our soul, coming back into wholeness. Where are you holding yourself back? Where are you betraying yourself? Where are you still scattered? It's time to break the chains and take your power back.

May this full moon be your catalyst for emotional liberation.
