Full Moon in Leo, 16 February 2022

The full Moon at 27 degrees of Leo invites us to shine and to display our brightest colours. The Moon in Leo encourages us to stand in the spotlight, to take the stage and to reveal our talents, ideas and unique traits to the world. It is a time for passion, creation, celebration and romance. It is a great time for artistic expression, for feeding the inner child and for having fun.

The Moon is opposite the Sun, shining a light on the Leo-Aquarius axis. On this full Moon, themes such as heart vs. mind, self vs. collective and personal vs. universal take centre stage. On full Moons, when energies and emotions run high, it is important to find a balance between opposites.

On this full Moon, we might be reviewing our social image, how our friends, groups and networks see us as an individual. We might be looking at our talents and at how we can bring them out into the world. The full Moon in Leo teaches us that we do not need the approval of a crowd to praise ourselves and to celebrate our victories.

Venus & Mars, the cosmic lovers, are exactly conjunct in Capricorn, trine Uranus in Taurus. This is an auspicious time for establishing or manifesting stable and long-lasting relationships of every kind, with people who share the same ideals, visions and values. It is also a favourable time for mending relationships by returning to balance and harmony, as well as for new romance, unexpected or unconventional encounters, love at first sight and instant attraction.

Venus & Mars conjunct is also a great transit for accomplishing, persevering or starting projects, as desire (Venus) and motivation (Mars) combine in the ambitious sign of Capricorn. Uranus sextile Jupiter in Pisces brings extra luck and magic into this already wonderful mix. Venus & Mars will be holding hands until early March 2022, when they separate in Aquarius.

Full Moons are about letting go of what we longer need. On this full Moon in Leo, I invite you to let go of anything that does not allow you to shine your brightest light, of anything or anyone that hinders your ability to love, create and be authentic, or which does not allow your inner child to be happy.

Ritual: Meditating on your heart, tap into the love within and let it take over your entire being. Release with love anything or anyone that hinders your ability to love, create or be your authentic self. Forgive yourself and others for the actions or the negative emotions that came up out of ego or selfishness. As Leo is a fire sign, doing this ritual in front of a candle or an open fire will be even more symbolic.

Quote:

“All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and women merely players.”

– William Shakespeare

Song: “She’s a Rainbow” by The Rolling Stones (1967). Mick Jagger is a Leo Sun with a stellium of four planets in Leo.

May we acknowledge each other’s lights and praise our unique differences.

🌕 Happy Full Moon 🌕
