I remember a time, long ago, when I used to bathe in crystal clear waters, play near tall waterfalls and run along streams.
I remember watching the mountains from a distance; the further I walked away, the closer they felt.
I remember foraging wild herbs and picking fruit from the trees.
I remember walking barefoot when the weather was mild and embracing my nakedness, unashamed and without fearing that someone might be watching.
I remember making love under the stars and giving birth on a full Moon.
I remember honouring my ancestors –human, elemental, animal and divine – as one great teacher.
I remember being free and accepted for who I was by all and everything.
I remember having walked on this beautiful Earth many times before.
It's all coming back to me. Bit by bit. One flashback at a time, through my mind's eye.
Nature is calling my soul again.
It remembers. And so do I.
