March 2026 Astrology

March is an easier month compared to January & February. Apart from the Virgo lunar eclipse, Mercury's retrograde and one square between Venus & Jupiter, the rest of the sky is harmonious, giving us space to breathe and review ourselves before spring begins.
We start the month with a lunar eclipse, the last one this eclipse season and the last one in Virgo for the next 9 years. I like to call the last full moon of winter the "spring cleaning of the soul". Virgo rules health, habits, rituals, daily life and daily work (employment). This lunar eclipse brings resolution to a health issue, and clarity when it comes to our daily work and what we devote ourselves to. It closes an important chapter related to the themes of the house (life area) where Virgo is located in our birth chart.
The first part of the month is dominated by Water (Yin). With most planets in Pisces, the energy encourages us to go inward. This is a good time to take it easy, retreat, review and purify ourselves before spring. Take your time to come out of hibernation, move with the flow, work with your intuition, let go of the old that you don't wish to carry with you into the real new year.
As we approach the spring equinox, you may feel the life force stirring inside of you. We've made it through the long night. This is the victory of light over darkness, of life over death. Make sure to get plenty of sunlight to recharge your winter batteries.
The second part of the month, Fire makes a comeback as the planets move into Aries. Our focus becomes more extraverted and we have the urge to spring into action, to birth new projects and embark on new journeys. One by one, the personal planets will conjunct Saturn & Neptune's famous conjunction, which is the point where we are given momentum to make our dreams a reality through consistent personal effort and absolute trust in divine power. Perhaps your vision is finally taking a more concrete shape, and the first guidance is finally revealed for you to take the next step in your journey.
On the world stage, while Pisces is associated with passivity, submission and disillusionment, Aries is associated with action, war and aggression. As the bells of war sound over the lands, we are asked to move beyond "I can't believe this is happening again!" to "Enough is enough!". As Bob Dylan famously wrote: "How many times can the cannonballs fly, before they're forever banned?" That time is now.
Blessed new beginnings,
Alexandra
