Light makes her comeback, After a long journey underground, Where she faced her shadows, And was nearly drowned.
Light did not travel alone – Earth journeyed with her, Faithfully followed by her children, Whether unconsciously or aware.
Light penetrates the cracks, Now faint memories of Winter past. She enters my heart, caresses my skin, My turn to awaken the fire within.
Light warmly kisses the Earth, And the ground begins to sing. The breath of Life returns, The sweet promise of Spring.
Light dissolves the walls of ice I had erected, To protect my realm from frozen winds. She revives the roots of love in my heart, And prepares me for new beginnings.
As Life returns to the outside world, I dance for the first time in ages, In the daylight instead of the shade, My fire ablaze, wild, unafraid.
On the Equinox of Ostara,
I plant the seeds of a new cycle, My feet bare on the young soil, I am reborn, grounded and mindful.
