A poem for Virgo
✼
In the fields stood a young maiden,
With skin so fair and long golden hair, In a white silk dress, her body laid bare.
She walks barefoot on the Earth,
Warming her body in the late summer Sun,
Harvesting the fruit of her labour, Preparing for the Winter to come.
Exhausted from the Leo revelry, She has no time for self-pity. She picks herself up and makes do with what is left, Before the darkness settles in and must retreat to her nest.
The strength in her, she must find To build her confidence and worth. Striving for perfection, always in her mind, Devoted to her people, her duty and the Earth.
“If thou find me worthy of your time, After I have purified my soul, Entrust me with the keys to your domain, And I shall return it three times grown.”
“To my depths I have dove, Faced my demons, made amends, Found what I was yearning for: I am enough, for I am loved.”
